Hello!

Hello, good morning, good evening, good whatever time it is in the world right now! Thank you so much for checking out my site and reading this first, albeit very short, entry to my blog.

First thing’s first a little about me. My name is Yoni Kessler, I’m a freelance musician and audio engineer based in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas. The work I do ranges everywhere from recording musicians and bands to full symphony orchestras, mixing short films, songs, and podcasts and writing music for film, video games and for the concert stage amongst my own personal projects. I’ve also done live sound for various shows and church services and have been a Qlab operator for theater and live performances. Outside of the workplace I’m a nerd. I love playing games, whether they’re video games or one played on a tabletop with my buds. I’m also a huge animal person with 3 pets that I wouldn’t hesitate to die for: my dog Coco, my cat Allie, and my bird Bluebird. When I’m not writing music you’ll also probably find me writing whatever the hell down using one of my many fountain pens and you’ll never catch me alive or dead without one!

I’m going to be using this blog to document my experiences as an audio engineer, composer, sound designer, stage manager and whatever other mischief I happen to get into in the world of music and entertainment! Check back here for equipment lists for specific recording sessions, tips on recording techniques and sound bytes for them, mix breakdowns and the challenges nested within each mix, composition breakdowns and other sound design tips and tricks! Lets see how much YouTube flavor text I can fit into this one paragraph shall we? (x8)

If you read this whole blurb I wanted to thank you again for checking this out and I hope that you can get something useful out of this blog! Until then happy practicing!
